Foundation Celebrate Workers at Harlem Hospital
On Wednesday, December 9 healthcare workers at NYC Health + Hospital / Harlem especially those who sacrificed and made sure our communities stay safe especially during this Covid19 pandemic received well deserved recognition from an organization whose mission is promoting quality healthcare. Who does not agree that it’s great to give due to those whose dues are due. Who can argue many lives were saved because
of the dedication of many hospital staff, many of whom work at Harlem Hospital.
Foundation for Sustainable Community Development Initiative Inc, FSCDI Inc a nonprofit whose mission is to empower and strengthen communities on a local and global level, especially Africa, helping them engage in economic sustainability that will foster development and long term positive changes in the communities we serve.
If health is considered wealth, we all have not just a duty to find it and at Harlem Hospital, there staff are doing their best to see to the maintenance of quality healthcare for patients and the community they serve.
In Corona, Queens, NY, FSCDI Inc annually support kids with backpacks before they return to school in the fall. Also every December with the help of partners we hold Children Holiday Toy Giveaway giving away toys to hundreds of kids putting smiles on their faces. During those happy events, the joy and smiles we see in kids faces can only be described as “unbelievable”
This year because of the pandemic, we found ourselves in a quagmire as we are hoping those who feel a need to support us can still do so. On Sunday, December 20, from 11am to 3pm, we have scheduled to still see what we can have donated or task ourselves to make this Christmas a happy one for the kids. Many parents are facing difficult times and struggling to make it and hardly thinking about toys for the kids. Our organization can always see how we fill the void.
By the same token, we hope 2021 will see a turning of the page especially with this unfortunate pandemic for we cannot afford to compromise on a better future for our kids who are the next generation.
