My father passed away when I was six years old, and when my mom got remarried my stepdad raised me like his own. My best memories were late nights in the garage, working on cars with him… when I turned 15, he bought me my first car and we pulled the engine and rebuilt it together. I’ll always cherish that time with him.
I’ve been working on this song for a long time, and I wanted to send this out to my pops and all of the dads out there on Father’s Day. Time Under The Hood.

10 years ago I started my journey in the world of Tequila. I didn’t start Juan Lobo Tequila because I thought it was trendy nor did I get into Tequila because I wanted to make a quick buck. I fell in love with the spirit, the history, and the people in the world of Tequila. The journey of building a tequila brand is a long one, but there are times to stop and celebrate a victory along the way. We are honored to announce that Juan Lobo Tequila Blanco has been awarded a Double Gold Medal by the San Francisco World Spirits Competition! We’ve weathered our share of challenges as a brand, and today we are grateful to say not only are we still standing, but we’re standing alongside some of the most respected names in Tequila.
This honor belongs to our incredible distillery family at NOM 1414. To Sergio Vivanco, his family, Sergio Cruz, and the many hands that touch every step of the process—thank you. There are countless people behind every bottle of Juan Lobo Tequila, and we couldn’t be prouder to share this moment with all of you.
