Bathroom remodel in process.
New tub, shower wall tiles, floor tiles, vanity, fan, and toilet. Really loving the 2/3rd offset for the wall tiles.
The lights are old and still need to be removed.

For the kitchen floor, the plywood and wonder board are in and almost ready for the porcelain tiles. Kitchen cabinetry is being assembled. These are the white oak shaker cabinets from Home Depot.

The final coat of the hardwood floor is in. Looks and feels super smooth. We went with a matte finish so that it isn’t too shiny.
Primed baseboard is also installed but it still needs to be painted. Ended up using only about 260 of the 400 linear foot we purchased.
Update 1/23/2026:
The foundation work after almost 3 weeks is almost complete. Now we’re just keeping an eye out for minor sagging and will level more if needed.
Hardwood floor refinishing is a work in progress. Today the sanding of the three bedrooms and hallway are done. We are a little low on meat in the living room as it’s been sanded before so just doing a buff there.
The darker brown hardwood floor is from before.

Starting another Napa renovation project this new year!
In addition to the planned kitchen and bathroom renovations, we uncovered some foundation issues that need to be addressed.
In the crawlspace, we observed multiple pier-and-post supports with improper bearing — including posts not fully contacting their concrete piers, gaps that had been shimmed, and some posts that were not adequately supporting the main girders.
It has also been a rainy season, so much of the crawlspace has been occupied with water so our first step before doing anything is to install a sump pump!
