Insurance, Property & Casualty

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE. Property and Casualty Insurance in South Carolina. This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C), Surety and Marine insurance concepts, practices, and regulations that follow the outline specific to the South Carolina Department of Insurance. It covers the fundamental principles of insurance, including risk management, policy structure, underwriting, claims, and legal and ethical considerations. Students will explore various types of property and casualty coverages, including but not limited to homeowners, auto, boats, commercial, and liability insurance. Special emphasis will be placed on South Carolina state-specific regulations, licensing requirements, industry standards and policy types. This course is ideal for students seeking a career in the insurance industry, to sell and solicit as an insurance producer. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to understand key aspects of P&C insurance and pass the South Carolina Property and Casualty Insurance Licensing Exam. 4.500 Continuing Education Units
