Let’s talk about Belles trial!

Her and I also competed this trial. We entered 3 runs and didn’t qualify in any of them. And while some may argue it’s not the best way to market myself I disagree.

Social media is one big highlight reel after another and that’s not what makes up REAL life. And the relationship you build and your value isn’t in those highlights.

My job was to make it as fun for her as I could and not even let her know we didn’t get it.

I’ve been in this industry over a decade and the seekers team has been with me since before we were seekers. A lot of them started with me in their baby puppy class long before I ever had dreams of being a sports instructor. So a lot of them have seen the struggles over the last several years of being a small business owner in trying times. They have been there for the highlight moments absolutely, but they’ve also been there during hardships too.

And that was the community we built and continue to build in seekers, agility, and our puppy classes. A supportive space where the good moments are celebrated, and when the heavy moments hit there is still a safe place to land and smile with your dog. Or cry a lot if that’s what needs to happen. Because we care as much about human welfare as we do dog welfare here.

Classes starting this month!

5 Week classes

Adventure Pups - For puppies up to a year old who are looking for basic manners and more! Puppies will leave being able to leave an entire pizza on the floor no leash necessary. Held at Dawgs N Whiskers in Sandy. Classes start January 7th or January 22nd.

Introduction to Scentwork - Learn the foundations for AKC, UKC, and NACSW Scentwork! This is our favorite winter sport to ensure our dogs stay tired even when the weather turns brutal. Dogs will learn how to indicate to the 3 base odors used by these three venues and will learn how to search for the Novice Level in each one. If you want to just play for fun, or go onto compete this is a fantastic class. Starts 8:00pm on January 21st at Dawgs and Whiskers.

Drop ins
Our drop in classes are for those who have completed the basic level of each sport. These dogs are prepping for competition or just practicing for the fun and joy of it with their owners! If you have experience with either agility or scentwork and are interested in joining our drop ins please reach out!

Seekers -
Wednesdays January 7, 14, and 21st at Dawgs and Whiskers
Sunday January 11th at Gardner Village
Sundays January 18th and 25th at Dawgs and Whiskers

Advanced Agility
Tuesday January 6th and Thursdays January 15th and 22nd in Bluffdale
