My office will be back later today with a pop-up office hour session in Baldwin Township! I hope you'll stop by for help with things like Senior ConnectCard applications, veterans services, PennDOT issues and other state-related matters. See you from 4-6!

I'm working to make sure everyone has access to affordable, quality healthcare - my bill is a step in that direction and passed the today.

House Bill 1678, a digital advertising tax that would make the biggest corporations pay their fair share to do business in the Commonwealth, advanced through the House today. I co-sponsored this legislation because this would modernize our gross receipt tax for the digital age, bringing in more revenue while standing up to tech giants that dominate our digital spaces.

My House Bill 2455, which would give Pittsburgh Public Schools administrators the right to collectively bargain, advanced from the House Labor and Industry Committee today!

As a former teacher, I know how hard school administrators work. They deserve to be able to fight for a better environment for themselves, their schools, and the students they serve every day. I'm proud of my colleagues in the House for taking up this conversation for the educators of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.

You can visit the PA General Assembly website for more information about the bill: https://www.palegis.us/legislation/bills/2025/hb2455

I stood with my colleagues this week at a rally to make sure billionaires pay their fair share to do business in the Commonwealth. House Bill 1678, voted out of the Finance Committee this week, would impose a Digital Advertising Tax on the biggest corporations that dominate our online spaces every day. I look forward to voting for HB 1678 when it hits the House floor!

I was so happy to join many of my colleagues today to march in the Pittsburgh Pride parade!

What an amazing crowd! It was a great celebration of the strides the LGBTQ+ community has made to be seen, loved, and included. And it’s also a reminder that we need to continue to fight so that all of our neighbors have equal rights and are welcome in their communities across the Commonwealth!

My staff & I had a fantastic time at our first pop-up office hours at the Castle Shannon Library this week!

We’ll be all over the district this summer -- up next is Baldwin Township this coming Thursday. Bring the family to enjoy Armstrong Park, have dinner at the food trucks, and chat with us about how our office can help you! See you there!

Today, June 5, is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. I was proud to stand with Senator Costa, Mayor O’Connor, Moms Demand Action, Ceasefire PA, and so many community organizers and activists in support of action to reduce gun violence.

We need greater investment in community violence intervention programs, and common-sense gun law reforms to keep our communities and schools safe.

This week marks the start of Pride Month, a time to celebrate the arts, culture, events and contributions that our LGBTQ+ community brings us in the Commonwealth and beyond! Happy Pride Month!
