We’re delighted to have completed this garden plan for a home that sits on the Dougherty Plain karst layer. With the site having Ocala limestone all over it, we will utilize this same stone in construction of walls, patios and other hardscape features. In order to revitalize some of the native vegetation lost during construction, we plan on planting notible natives. The garden areas closer to the home will be composed of parterres, a formal motor court, and an intimate sitting garden. The overarching theme is to balance the formal with the natural and take advantage of the incredible vistas the hilly site has to offer.
