Hey everyone! Very excited to announce we'll be hosting a free Valentine's Day workshop next week on Monday the 13th, in partnership with our Monroe County Community College Library. There's no registration necessary and all supplies are provided, so just drop in anytime between 2pm and 4pm if you'd like to make something for yourself or a special someone, as we show how to use a Cricut machine and a CNC Laser. ๐๐น

We're excited to announce that weโll be hosting another virtual workshop tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2:00pm! This workshop is free and open to anyone with an interest in 3D printing, and will cover everything from the most common question I get asked about 3D printing, to a walk-through demonstration of how we prepare 3D models for printing using โslicerโ software. This workshop will be entirely virtual (so you can join us via Zoom through your computer or smartphone), but the makerspace will also be open afterwards for anyone who would like to do some 3D printing in-person.
No registration necessary, use the link below to join the meeting:

Our first soldering workshop was a success! We'll definitely be doing more of these in the future, and hopefully we'll be upgrading and expanding our soldering equipment to allow us to host more than six people for the next one. This was a full class though (minus one last minute drop), and everyone was able to take home two working projects afterwards. We've got another excited workshop coming up next week, so stay tuned for more info on that! ๐

Hey everyone, super exciting news! We're stoked to announce our first in-person/hands-on workshop in quite some time now (which will hopefully be the first of many)! If you're interested in learning the basics of soldering and electronics, please join us next Thursday at 5:00pm! The workshop is FREE but is limited to six participants, so RSVP by email is required. See you there! ๐ค

From concept to functional part in four pictures. This little bracket holds a microcontroller for a robot and was designed by one of our members using 3D CAD software, printed on one of our Ender 3's, and assembled with some leftover elastic from when we were producing face shields back in 2020. It's amazing how design challenges can be so easily overcome with a 3D printer and a bit of creativity!
Working on some holiday ornaments this week! Our 3D printers and our CNC laser will be available today between 3pm and 7pm for anyone who would like to make something. Please feel free to send us an email if you'd like to stop by! ๐ โ๏ธ
