Friends and family...

I'm not writing this to try and guilt people into clicking like... I feel this needs to be said here for myself and to close a chapter on something that has been a serious passion/obsession for the majority of my adult life in order to open a new chapter.

The paranoid drags are no more and it was very tough to deal with for me, but drummers and bass players have come and gone so many times over the years that I'm used to picking up the pieces 4,3,2, some how always got reduced to 1. Of course I seen this comming all last year I knew the line up of me, Aaron and Noe wouldn't last and I dreaded it. Because the drags finally became a real band that I was proud of which is such a long way from where it started as... a shy music geek in high school wearing a stooges t-shirt and a home made talking heads remain in light patch on his back pack, not knowing how to play guitar or write a lyric even so scribbling streams of word in his note book determined to figure it out. Note Ivan was a hardcore brat at the time.

I was so pathetically shy it's crazy to think how I learned to get in front of people sing and play guitar. but I knew what I liked and No contemporary band I knew played what I wanted to hear and how I wanted to hear it. mainly with screams and feed back lol. Not to say there wasn't Good bands there's always good bands in Ceres and Modesto, but I wanted something that suited my taste, and from what I seen (not until the skitz then shu lace) it didn't exist. so I sought to create it with the help of Ivan Vizcaino My friend from high school an open minded hardcore brat that was one of the few people willing to play in a band with me. We cut our teeth learning how to play in a band together and the drags evolved from there. Me and Ivan, first Ivan on guitar then bass then drums.

From when I started in high school the drags seemed like an impossible dream though for various set backs. but I had no choice but to try and keep at it, keep banging my head against the wall, keep eating through s**t one day I'll have the last laugh, and by January 2013 it seemed this was finally coming true when Noe aka captain Neptune joined on drums.

The paranoid drags was a geek boys wet dream of a rock band and I'm sorry to say the band is over and I no longer have it in me to pick up the pieces and reform the drags . Instead I've decided to take everything I learned from playing in the paranoid drags and use it in a new band with new material none of the old stuff and take on a new name. Anyone nostalgic for what the drags had to offer (I know there was a few of you) please join me and Ricky quesnot as we take the steps to kick off our new band" the illegal bodies" dig us don't dig us we don't play music for anyone but ourselves so... f**k you and suck a fart out of our ass holes.

on a more positive note thanks to anyone that took the time to see us, friends family. my brother Ray Frausto who filled in on bass in a period that really got the ball rolling for the drags and it was a great dream to play in a band with my big brother. Thank you to anyone who supported us and said anything positive about us chances are I remember and you don't know how much it means to me, thank you to all the folks that seen us live, I'm happy to know there's proof that the paranoid drags did exist and wasn't just a figment of my imagination

Much love
Bend Sinister/Robert John Frausto
