Supported entirely by donations, our volunteer-run organization operates out of foster homes in Modesto, CA. We receive exotic animals ( not dogs, not cats, not wildlife) from the local city and county run animal shelters, vet clinics, pet stores and private citizens. All animals are evaluated for medical and behavioral issues. The sanctuary is for those deemed too medically fragile or too behaviorally unsuitable for life as pets.

Yay, Heyoka, the stray lizard we picked up very very early Tuesday morning has been reunited with his family!!
Heyoka is a 3 year old Black Throat monitor.

We're trying to assist someone with the relocation of a couple fresh water fish.
We need a home for :
A sail fin pleco PENDING
A clown loach PENDING
1 - Corydoras leucomelas "Rio Napo" PENDING
1 - Sterba's Cory PENDING
They do not have to go to a new home together, but we would like the loach to go to a home with other loaches and the cory's to go to homes currently with a school of the same species.
