🎣 Happy National Go Fishing Day!

Whether you're casting a line, floating a river, hiking a trail, or simply enjoying Montana's outdoors, a Conservation License is required for most outdoor recreation in Montana... and for good reason.

Conservation Licenses help support the stewardship of the fish, wildlife, water, and public lands that make Montana such a special place to live, work, and recreate.

As you enjoy your favorite river or outdoor space this season, remember that conservation is a shared responsibility. Healthy rivers don't happen by accident.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up for Montana’s rivers. Your voices matter, and they continue to help shape the future of clean, healthy, free-flowing waters across our state.

Help us celebrate Montana’s rivers all June long!
