From 8 week old snuggles to big 6 month smiles!
I got the pleasure of caring for Baby Sully as his Mother Baby nurse on Day 1. Had the privilege of becoming his night nanny during those precious newborn nights. And now getting to see him again at 6 months just melts my heart. One of the greatest joys of this job is watching these little ones grow!
This is why I love Nurturing Nights—it’s so much more than overnight care. It’s building relationships, supporting families, and celebrating the milestones!

Newborns feed every 2-3 hours, around the clock. That’s about 8-12 feedings a day.
Why?
✨Blood sugar stabilization - babies are born with limited energy reserves. Feeding often helps regulate their blood sugar
✨Tiny Tummies- at birth, a babies stomach is about the size of a marble. Reaching to about the size of an egg, or 2-3 ounces, by day 10. Since they’re not ingesting large amounts, they need to feed frequently to get enough nutrition
✨Brain Development- babies brains are developing extremely quickly. Feeding often provides essential fatty acids and nutrients to support healthy brain development
✨Milk Supply (for breastfeeding parents) - it’s all about supply and demand. When your baby feeds every 2-3 hours, this tells your body to produce milk. This helps establish and maintain milk supply in the early weeks
Here is what we don’t talk about enough- it’s hard. That newborn stage can be a blur of feedings, diaper changes, burping, and sleeping when you can. This can be a stressful time, but that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. Frequent feedings are normal, expected, and healthy. You’re doing great 💓You got this 💓 and we’re here to help if needed 💓
