Captain Trivia
Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Washington each claim six cities each whose names rhyme with the names of their states.
Minnesota has Dakota, Eyota, Kasota, Mendota, Minneota, and Zumbrota; Oklahoma is home to Arkoma, Centrahoma, Dacoma, Indiahoma, Lahoma, and Texhoma.
Likewise (although it feels a little like cheating), Washington has Arlington, Burlington, Covington, Darrington, Farmington, and Harrington.
Nine other U.S. states have one city-state rhyming combo:
Unalaska, Alaska
Sedona, Arizona
Cynthiana, Indiana
Wayne, Maine
Texico, New Mexico
Norlina, North Carolina
Lakota, North Dakota
Scio, Ohio
Canisota, South Dakota

The first Thanksgiving meal between the Wampanoag people and the Massachusetts pilgrims was largely cooked by Mary Brewster, Susanna Winslow, Elizabeth Hopkins, and Eleanor Billington--the surviving women from the first Plymouth winter. They likely had the good sense not to serve cheesy green beans. Happy Thanksgiving to one and all, no matter your gross side dishes!
Tuesday Night Trivia is cancelled for tonight due to inclement weather. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope to see you all next Tuesday!
