“This recipe came from “Leona from Nebraska” who won the 1960 Pillsbury Bake-Off. Apparently, it became all the rage that year for the holiday season and my Gram picked it up in the news. She made it for her family every year from then on for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or both. She passed it to my mom who passed to my brother. My brother is an absolutely premiere baker and dialed the recipe slightly while trying to stay true to Leona’s original intent. My contribution to this recipe is the fresh dill w**d. Adding that to the butter brush at the end I think really freshens it up while complimenting the dill seed within the dough.”
