Here's the thing.

Our daughter and son-in-law live in Minneapolis. We've been there many times. We had their wedding there in June.
It's a lovely city and we've never experienced any trouble at all.
We've spoken to her several times over the past few days and heard the positive energy after the huge rally with thousands of protesters last week.
***They aren't paid protesters***
And then the next day she was tearful and full of rage after Alex Pretti was murdered, as most Americans were.
She has kept us updated on all of the peaceful vigils, rallies, and solidarity.
The city is full of good people who care about what happens in their city. They are heartbroken for their neighbors of color (whether or not they know them personally) who are afraid to leave their homes, and they are doing what they can to get through it all.
The chaos and terror that ICE has brought is completely unnecessary and unacceptable. Their tactics are unlawful and unconstitutional. They need to be defunded and held accountable for their crimes.
What can you do? Call your representative and voice your opinion.
