The practice of yoga is a practice of becoming increasingly sensitive to the subtle fluctuations of energy and in tune with the wisdom to respond accordingly.

Traveling through India the past two weeks stirred up a lot. The experiences and teachings continue to move energy through me (mind+body+soul) opening up new realizations and manifestations, and coming home has only intensified this! With jet lag, stomach issues and a very sick son, I’m feeling the need to create balance within the root chakra…to feel settled and fully present in my body. And so, to the kitchen I go.

Grounding through food is one of my most sacred practices when I need to root. The ritual involved in creating meals, the acknowledgment of the interconnectedness of all forms of life, the blessing of the food and serving nourishment to loved ones and the pleasure of the senses while preparing and eating brings me right back into my body and my heart.

If you know me, you know I get down with all the woo-woo, but leaning into deeper intuitive wisdom for me right now means keeping it simple…and so I cook👩🏽‍🍳

One of my favorite spaces to co-create with clients is a meditation corner or zen den.

Bringing in the elements and finding unique ways of carving out a sacred space in the home is a beautiful way to support your meditation and spirituality practice.

I transformed this little corner in our office into my mediation and yoga “room”. I start each day here and value this space so much!

Spending time each weekend preparing meals/ingredients for the week is essential to creating balance and harmony. Our weekdays are busy! Having nourishing, home cooked meals at the ready keeps the stress low and vibes high!

This weekend:
🌱panang curry with all the veggies
🌱vegetarian stuffed shells with sautéed spinach
🌱chickpeas for falafel
🌱rice
🌱quinoa
🌱roasted veggies

Note: meal prep doesn’t have to mean you have set meals lined up for the week. Having a couple meals and a few staples (quinoa, roasted veggies, a protein (we do roasted tofu) makes throwing together a full dinner just that much easier.
