Now that it’s fall, and temperatures are dropping, I find myself very attracted to dark, rich, paint colors, and rich velvet textures. Fall also marks the time when we have more time to work on home projects. This year‘s focus will be my daughters bedroom. Working with a few different concepts. I am coming up with a plan to create her dream space.
I love how a daybed will create more floor, space giving her area to hang out with friends and play with toys. Adding an accent wall of board and batten in a dark shade will make the space feel very rich, and the wallpaper will add pattern to add interest to the room.
What I love most though, is that all the decor in the room will grow with her as she grows older.

Life can get hectic, that’s why having a place you can relax and unwind is so important. Choosing furniture that is comfortable and good quality is a must. Creating plenty of space to lounge, hang out and have conversations, or a place to take a midday nap seems just right.
When designing your space make sure to consider:
1️⃣how you want the space to feel.
2️⃣what items you want to splurge and save on.
3️⃣always keep your foundation pieces neutral and add in color with less expensive easy to change items.
4️⃣size and scale of your space
5️⃣nail down an interior design style you would like to achieve
6️⃣put together a mood board so you can see how everything works together
