Hello! I’m Chef Tally a Milwaukee native and the owner The Plate Lady. Food has always been a passion for me starting at a young age helping mom in the kitchen making traditional family meals. I had such a great love for food, but unfortunately one day my world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with celiacs disease. After being diagnosed living a basic life became more difficult than expected especially when it came to going out to eat. Majority of establishments had little to no gluten free options, which is why I have started my business The Plate Lady. It wasn’t fair, never being able to find food that taste good, plus I didn’t want the “typical cardboard” gluten free meals; they’re far from appealing. That’s when I took it upon myself to offer healthy comfort style foods that are SAFE for individuals like me with celiacs or other health concerns. With my background in culinary it made it easy for me to create gluten free foods that tasted just as good as if they had real gluten in them. I offer a very large range of gluten free options from breakfast pies, to smoked ribs, international cuisine, cakes, tarts, cookies you name it I can do it. The best part is it taste so good you’ll forget you’re being healthy!
