Spending the day at an estate sale made me think about how much we collect throughout our lives. So many items once meant something to someone who things they carefully chose, used, displayed, and loved. Yet one day, they’re spread across tables with price tags, waiting for a new home.

It reminded me that what lasts isn’t the stuff we own. It’s the memories we make, the people we love, and the lives we touch.

In 2022, I set up my very first HmongCreations pop-up shop. I was nervous, excited, and honestly had no idea where this journey would take me.

Fast forward to 2025, and here we are at the Milwaukee New Year event. So much has changed over the years, but one thing remains the same: my love for creating and sharing pieces of Hmong culture with others.

There have been busy seasons, slow seasons, moments of doubt, and moments of celebration. Through it all, I am grateful for every customer, every kind word, and everyone who has supported HmongCreations along the way.

Sometimes we get so focused on how far we still have to go that we forget to look back and see how far we’ve come. ❤️
