Poetically Explosive

They say, "A warrior doesn't tell his story, he survives it". I used those words as an excuse to feel pride and satisfation, bandaids to protect the underlying reality of my regret. Despite any ambition Ive had or desire to write about my life, I havent. Like everything else in my life that Ive become complacent with, I instinctively chose to believe I was a "real" warrior. Believing that was much easier than putting in all the effort it would take to bare my soul on paper and be read by the world. Im no warrior Ive allowed my traumas in life to hold me hostage rather than find freedom. I want to live and living begins with being authentic. One day, my truth will be read and it may be misread just as Ive been, but I see this as a journey. Exploring myself as I undress for all to see what I was too afraid to see in myself.
