What is Urban Timber? Urban timber consists of trees planted or maintained in the urban area. Trees that grow in our yards, city parks, along our streets and in our business/ housing developments. This timber is often treated as waste after the tree has served its primary purpose. We believe the tree can contiune to serve a valuable purpose in our local community, let us tell you how. http://www.208UrbanTimber.com

We may have to relocate soon and the biggest thing holding us back was that we created and built 208 Urban Timber from the ground up, and we built a brand that is becoming known in this area. We don't want that to go away, so we are looking to sell the company / brand to someone who will continue the vision we have for the Urban Timber movement. The value of an established brand with everything ready for a new owner to take over, is immeasurable. But since we have to measure it, we are looking to get $40K for everything (more details in the link below) But for the right person I would have a little flexibility

Here is the for sale listing. If you are interested, please call Steve at 208-519-1075 to discuss. If you know of someone who might be interested, we would love you to share this with them.

Please note that with this pandemic, our plans probably will be delayed for a few months or more. Until we move, or until we sell the business, we will go on doing business as usual (I have to have something to do while avoiding crowds) milling, stacking, drying and selling slabs to local woodworkers and craftsmen.

BUILDERS! I was contacted by a company looking for rough estimates on a conference table. I know the answer is going to be it depends but they are looking for a rough estimate on what a table with live edge approximately 48”w x 84”-120” long, with simple legs would cost. If you are interested in the project, send me a PM please and I will pass your contact info onto them. Examples of other tables you have created may help

A craftsmen sent in a few pictures of the coffee table he made with one of our Maple slabs. I really like substantial pieces so I love this. This was from a tree that fell in Boise last year and was on the news

I know this is a long shot but does anybody know anyone that would be interested in a fairly famous log from Kathryn Albertson Park?

The park is being redone and they are going to get rid of the round as well as the two logs standing next to it. This was a record holding log

Now the bad parts

- Who ever wants the logs would be responsible for the costs to remove them

- The logs are all suffering from a fair amount of rot. I don't know how they would hold up to being moved

- There appears to be several pieces of metal in the logs

In my opinion the 2 standing logs are not as interesting but the round in the middle is amazing. If this was stood on end, flattened and protected it would be an awesome table for a corporate location

Here is a link to the park

If anyone is able to save this log (it will probably be destroyed otherwise) let me know and I can get them in touch with my contact

Had a few people come in now looking for slabs to use as guestbook sign-ins for their wedding. This is new to me and I like the idea. The guest's sign the wood using appropriate pens/markers, then the wood is finished to protect the signatures. The slab can then be displayed vs stuffed in a box like other guestbooks

This one is an Ash slab and it was engraved by Stan Goold 208-340-0104
