IMMIGRANT WITH EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE
Ten years ago, I left my country, my loved ones, my home, and my sense of belonging in search of better opportunities.  Five years later, in the midst of a pandemic, where the phrase "now or never" became literal, I finally moved to NYC.
As an immigrant and artist, I have learned to live and embrace uncertainty, to understand that nothing lasts forever, and not to fear change.
We carry in a small suitcase the memories, the emotions, the joys, and, above all, the nostalgia of what could have been.
A suitcase reflects the paradoxical mix between fear and enthusiasm, the person, the artist, dreams, and the uncertain future.
Everything inside exists simultaneously in the past, present, and future.

IMMIGRANT WITH EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE
▪︎ My artwork, ARTMAGUEDON, who serves as a background
▪︎ My small sculpture, a collaboration with Helen G
▪︎ My small suitcase that I found in 2020 on my first day in NYC. it belonged to Esther, another immigrant (1944) whose life I can't even imagine.
Today, it is a treasure for me and a tribute to my journey, Esther's and all the immigrants who, full of past, create a dream every day! Instalation on view at @artontheavenyc EAST VILLAGE STUDIO
