And here it is… the world premiere of the 992.2 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring, debuting together for the first time to celebrate 25 years of GT3 legacy, first introduced with the 996.1 generation back in 1999. This generation brings some exciting new features, including, for the first time, a rear seat option for a 2+2 configuration—something traditionally reserved for the Carrera lineup. While analog gauges bid us farewell, we still get to enjoy the classic turn-key ignition.

What are your thoughts on the new GT3? Is the rear seat addition a game-changer for you?

And here we have it: the latest iteration of the 911, the 992.2 generation - this time with the introduction of the new T-Hybrid system, integrated directly into the PDK transmission + a 1.9kWh 400-volt battery located in the “frunk” - all driving a newly developed 3.6-litre twin turbo engine.

As expected, performance gains are impressive with 532 hp and 449 lb-ft of torque for the 911 GTS variant. But this also possibly spells doom for a manual transmission in the GTS (unless it’s offered without the T-Hybrid system 🤔).

Also introduced with the 992.2 generation is a fully digital cockpit experience, include a start/stop button in place of the beloved and historic left handed turnkey.

How are we feeling about these updates?

There are GT3 Tourings and then … there are GT3 Tourings. This is a fine example of a beautiful combination of colors and accents that make the whole package just stunning. Featuring PTS Gemini Blue Metallic on the outside with chrome window trim and what appears to be some variation of a silver (seems lighter than GT Silver) for the exterior mirrors … beautiful combination 🤌.

What are your thoughts on this spec?

We recently had the chance to visit two Porsche Studios - Porsche Studio Portland (the first one to open in the US market) and Porsche Studio Cascais, located in beautiful Cascais, Portugal.

Both are stunning and beautiful showrooms, allowing prospective Porsche customers to have a taste of the Porsche experience. The space is not exclusively focused on the cars, but rather everything from coffee and beverages, yoga classes, art, apparel & accessories, meeting spaces for company or club events and of course the occasional Porsche car (including race cars!) as well.

Highly recommend checking out a Studio if you happen to come across one during your travels!
