Our awakening does not happen in isolation.

It happens in the middle of our lives, and it changes everything around us.

Spiritual emergence is rarely the serene, retreat-bound process most people picture when they hear the word awakening.

For most of us, it happens inside a marriage, inside a family, inside a career - in the ordinary, complex, and beautifully demanding context of our actual lives. And that context does not hold still while we evolve.

When we begin to see differently, we respond differently.

When our awareness expands, we find we can no longer engage in the unconscious agreements that previously kept things smooth but kept us small.

When our level of consciousness rises, what we were previously willing to tolerate quietly - in relationships, in conversations, in ourselves - becomes undeniable in a new way.

The people closest to us feel this. Not always with language for what they are sensing, but they feel the shift. And their responses to our emergence will be as varied as the people themselves.

Some will be curious.

Some will be unsettled. Some will draw closer. And some will pull back, not because they do not love us, but because our growth invites them to examine their own, and that examination is not always welcome.

Love+Truth is clear: The only real game the universe is playing is the infinite game.

That game is concerned with one thing: the continuous raising of the refinement of our spiritual art through our beingness. Every person and every circumstance in our lives is, at a deeper level, in service of that refinement.

The invitation this weekend is simply to hold our emergence with gentleness, for ourselves and for the people around us who are being asked to meet a version of us they have never encountered before.

Share how awakening has shown up in your relationships.

Once you see, you cannot unsee.

Whatever we see in the world is also within us.

All the darkness, the wars, the greed, the corruption - we like to believe it's "out there." That it has nothing to do with us.

But it does.

Because the world is a mirror.

And if you want to change what you see in that mirror, getting angry at the reflection won't do it. You have to look at what's being reflected.

You have to look at yourself.

This is something I learned through my own path of purification. Not in theory, but in experience.

As I began to take responsibility for what was within me, my perception of the world began to change. Not because the world suddenly became perfect - but because I was no longer projecting the same unconscious patterns onto it.

The outer world is not separate from the inner one.

It is an extension of it.

So if we want a different world, we don't begin by fixing others.

We begin by becoming more honest, more aware, and more aligned within ourselves.

That is where real change starts.

If you want to understand this work more deeply, it's laid out clearly in my book. You can find it in the Love + Truth store.

One of the most liberating - and disorienting - teachings in Love+Truth is this: to become a true spiritual poet, we must unbecome everything we might have thought we were before.

Whatever persona we have assembled. Whatever limited idea of self we carry. Whatever psychological constructs we have accumulated through achievement, enculturation, role, and title - all of it must be released.

We are urged to release them not because these things are wrong, but because none of them are real.

They are thought-forms, and in the formless spiritual realm, they carry no weight and no significance whatsoever.

This is not an easy proposition for the high-performer. We live in a culture that rewards the construction of a compelling and differentiated self. We are encouraged to build a brand, consolidate an identity, define our value through measurable output.

The suggestion that all of this is, at a deeper level of Truth, a collection of psychological constructs, not who we actually are, can feel like an existential threat rather than an invitation.

And yet Love+Truth points to what is on the other side of this unbecoming with remarkable beauty: Somebody is a finished painting where the paint has hardened.

You can try to paint over it, but what is underneath always bleeds through.

Becoming nobody is the magical, ever-blank canvas - the painting that is always evolving and never finished, existing only in the present moment.

The person who discovers this - who genuinely begins to separate their essential being from the accumulated constructs of their conditioned self - does not become less.

They become, often for the first time, genuinely themselves. Undefended. Present. Alive to what is actually here, rather than performing a version of who they decided they needed to be.

That unbecoming is the beginning of the most consequential journey available to any of us.

I am not a finished product. I am a work in progress, just like you.

I am a flawed man. I have made mistakes, and I have taken paths that made things harder than they needed to be. There are still parts of me being refined.

I am not here as a guru. I am not here as a sage.

But over time, something came online in me.

I became a bearer of a certain field of awareness - a way of seeing and understanding that does not feel like it belongs to me, but moves through me.

Everything I write, everything I speak about, and everything in my book comes from that place. It's not from theory or from imitation, but from lived experience and direct knowing.

My book is simply an articulation of that field. A way of putting language to something that is often felt but not clearly expressed, but it is not something for you to copy.

Always take what resonates and leave what doesn't because your path will not look like mine, your expression will not look like mine, and your truth cannot be borrowed.

My only intention is to empower you to walk your own path with more clarity, more honesty, and more alignment.
