Running a rescue means constantly balancing the needs of the animals in our care with the very real costs that come with keeping them safe and healthy.
Food.
Formula.
Litter.
Medications.
Vet visits.
Emergency care.
It all adds up quickly, especially when we take in animals that need medical attention right away — which happens often here.
Right now Sunshine Animal Rescue is working through outstanding veterinary bills while also trying to restock the everyday supplies that keep the rescue running. Every bag of food, every case of formula, every medication refill is something these animals rely on us for.
When animals come to us they usually have nowhere else to go. Many arrive sick, injured, or abandoned. Saying yes to them means committing to their care completely.

Hi, I’m Tinsel!
I’m a 6-month-old gray kitten with a notched ear and the sweetest personality. I was originally meant to be TNR’d and returned outside, but I turned out to be way too gentle and loving for street life. Now I’m looking for an indoor forever home where I can finally feel safe and adored.
I am an absolute angel. I’m a total lap cat who melts into you the second you hold me. I adore cuddling, chin scratches, soft blankets, and being as close to you as possible. I’m playful too — just the right amount — and I love toys, exploring, and gentle kitten games.
I have siblings who are also looking for homes, and I love other cats. I enjoy playing with them, cuddling with them, and following them around. I’d be very happy with another friendly cat in the home, but I’d also do fine on my own with a person who gives me plenty of love and attention.
I’m fully vetted — neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and snap tested — and I’m ready to go. I’m located in Miami, but my adoption fee includes transport, and I can safely travel north every two weeks.
