A nice stream I found on UF’s campus. Did you know that many species need clear running water to complete their life cycles? One example is the stone fly, which has an aquatic juvenile stage.

Here’s another little friend I found last week! This is a walking stick nymph. The term nymph is used to refer to juvenile insects of species that do not undergo a full metamorphosis. You can differentiate a juvenile from an adult based on whether it has wings or not and by its general size.
