It’s official! One of our rescued Ridglan beagles, Diego (now Chance), has found his forever home! ❤️
When we were asked to take in three beagles from Ridglan, we were told they struggled in larger group settings and would likely thrive in more individualized environments.
Fast forward to today, Chance has exceeded every expectation. Not only has he formed an incredible bond with his new family, but he has also become best friends with his Envigo beagle sibling and absolutely adores his basset hound brothers and sisters.
From the moment he arrived, this pack welcomed him with open paws, helping him feel safe, secure, and loved. Watching Chance settle into family life - snuggling with his siblings, building confidence, and simply enjoying being a dog - has been truly heartwarming.
Stories like Chance’s remind us why rescue matters. Every dog deserves the opportunity to leave their past behind and discover what it means to be cherished.
We are beyond grateful that Chance was given the second chance he so richly deserved. Thank you to his wonderful mom for opening her heart and home to one of these very special beagles. Wishing Chance and his family a lifetime of love, adventures, and happy memories together. 🐾

New croqueta alert!
Royce has officially joined South Florida Beagle Rescue, and according to our Miami Beagle Croqueta Scale, he identifies as a Sergio’s Croqueta. 😎
(If you have no idea what we’re talking about, be sure to check out our recent Miami Beagle Croqueta Scale post. 😂)
Royce was surrendered when his family found themselves traveling more for work and could no longer give him the time and attention he deserves.
This handsome boy is a 7-year-old purebred chocolate beagle who is incredibly sweet and friendly, even with strangers. While we are still getting to know him, he may do best as the only dog in the home.
Royce has completed training and knows commands such as sit, stay, and crate. He is crate trained, p*e pad trained, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
Please contact us if you’d like to give him the forever home he deserves. 💛

We couldn't find a body condition chart that felt Miami enough... so we made our own - and if you know, you know! 😜
The Official Miami Beagle Croqueta Scale ™️ is here. For the uninitiated: a croqueta is a crispy, golden Cuban snack that's basically impossible to eat just one of. Your beagle understands.
🏆 Is your beagle an Islas Canarias Croqueta?
☕️ A Sergio's Croqueta?
👵 Or has Abuela been sneaking them too many snacks?
Tell us what croqueta your beagle is in the comments. ⬇️
While this chart is all in good fun, maintaining a healthy weight is one of the most important things you can do for your beagle. Excess weight can increase the risk of arthritis, joint issues, diabetes, heart disease, breathing issues, and can even shorten their lifespan.
A healthy beagle is a happier beagle.
