Paul Weiner joins Long Road Projects at Untitled Art Fair Miami 2022! We are excited to present Paul as one of our featured artists and showcase his newest pieces in booth C28!

About the artist :
"Paul Weiner is an American contemporary artist known for his paintings, sculptures, videos, and drawings oscillating between abstraction and topics of symbolism, place, politics, and violence. He is known for his large scale American flag paintings, often covered in black, as well as his flag monoprints in which the flag is used as a brush to create an abstraction. In the aftermath of the 2012 Aurora theater shooting in Weiner’s hometown, his research into the legal case of James Holmes resulted in a series of abstracted and redacted legal documents focused on the many years during which the details of the case were hidden from public view. During his residency this May in Weidingen, Germany, Weiner began painting the Star of David as an act of resistance, digging deep into the history of the nearby city of Bitburg where a cemetery memorializes fallen N**i SS soldiers. The climate surrounding the Jewish community in the United States has become increasingly fraught since that time, and the Star of David paintings on view here reference that climate."
