This March, we celebrate Women’s History Month — honoring the courageous, trailblazing women whose sacrifices and strength helped shape the world we live in today.
From the front lines of the civil rights movement to the halls of justice, women have always led the way. Their legacies remind us that progress is possible when we stand up, speak out, and never give up.
To every woman in Methuen and Haverhill — thank you for all that you do. Your contributions matter, your voices matter, and your history matters.

Yesterday, I voted YES on H.5151 — because working people in Massachusetts deserve a break on their energy bills. ⚡🏠
For too long, hardworking families have been squeezed by rising utility costs while energy suppliers pocketed the difference. H.5151 changes that — and it does so in a big way.
💰 $9 BILLION in savings for utility ratepayers over the next 10 years. That’s real money staying in your wallet, not lining the pockets of utility companies.
But this bill goes even further for working and middle-class families:
✅ Discounted energy rates for low- and moderate-income residents — because no one should have to choose between heat and groceries
✅ Limits on how often residential rates can change — so families can actually budget without surprise spikes
✅ A task force dedicated to studying long-term electricity costs — because affordability can’t just be a short-term fix
✅ Environmental compliance payments redirected from electricity suppliers back to residents
Beyond immediate relief, H.5151 sets Massachusetts up for a stronger, more affordable energy future:
⚡ Expands the state’s authority to procure energy at better rates
☀️ Accelerates offshore wind, solar, and energy storage development
☢️ Removes outdated barriers to nuclear energy
🔌 Supports critical transmission upgrades
👷 Includes workforce protections for energy workers
And on Mass Save — the nation’s #1 energy efficiency program — H.5151 trims $1 billion from marketing and administrative costs only. Not a single program gets cut. Every upgrade and rebate that working families depend on remains fully intact, and the Inspector General will review the program to make it work even harder for the people who need it most.
Affordable energy isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. This vote was for every Massachusetts family struggling to keep the lights on. 💪

Yesterday, I was proud to celebrate Dominican Independence Day in Methuen — honoring the rich culture, history, and contributions of our Dominican community.
Methuen is stronger because of the families, small business owners, and community leaders who bring their heritage, traditions, and pride to our city each and every day. Dominican Independence Day is not only a celebration of freedom, but a celebration of community, resilience, and the shared values that unite us.
Thank you to D.J. Beauregard for Mayor and everyone who helped organize this special event. It was wonderful to come together in celebration of culture, heritage, and the vibrant spirit that makes Methuen such a special place to call home.
¡Que viva la República Dominicana!🇩🇴
