A call to action to friend artists to use our creative voices in all mediums to honor women and to advocate for the end of femicide in Mexico and across the world. "They instilled fear and we grew wings.." A song, a performance, power fists, a collective cry, and a projection of the faces of many women who have disappeared. Here is at its best with Mexican artist Vivir Quintana and Chilean artist Mon Laferte demanding the government to end femicide. This powerful performance in Mexico Zocalo Capitalino Ciudad de Mexico this past weekend with the song "Cancion Sin Miedo (Song Without Fear)."
Roughly translating parts of the song, "They instilled fear and we grew wings, we sing without fear and ask for justice. We scream for each of the disappeared and resound, 'We want US alive' If you shut my eyes nothing will shut me up. If you touch one of us, we will all stand..."
