That means it could take up to an hour in just one spot with a standard sprinkler to reach that goal and that is not accounting for run off and evaporation. Important reminder to water water water in this heat and move your water hose around to get good coverage! Evening watering is not recommended to prevent fungus but can be done in a pinch if you absolutely have no other option.
