Coy & Pily Stevens (956)534-0981 or (956)240-9991 Metalstorm came as an idea as far back as 1998 with Daniel on guitar and Roland on vocals. Soon after they recruited fellow friends and school mates Chris Contreras (drums) and Joel Cates (bass). After jamming on mostly covers just for fun, Roland took over on bass and decided to share vocals duties with Daniel, in addition to recruiting Jaymz as a
second guitarist. The four would continue to jam to covers until Chris decided to part ways with the band, the remaining three would then focus on writing original material while looking for a new drummer. After finishing writing and recording up to 9 original tracks, the three would find a drummer from the other side of town, Luis. The four would start intensely rehearsing and teaching the songs to Luis and had their first show in 2003 in an arcade in Elsa. After playing numerous "Battle of the Bands" and such venues as the VFW, Simon Sez, Club X|S, as well as La Villa Real and the (then named) Dodge Arena for the better parts of 2004 - 2007 and recording two EPs and one full-length demo, Metalstorm decided it would be best to take a break due to extenuating circumstances. In early 2011, members of the band decided it was the right time to make a comeback to the metal scene. In the summer/fall months, the band entered the studio to record a second full-length demo. This one would be used to send to record labels across the nation. In January of 2012, Roland decided to step down from the band to pursue other interests. Two months later, Daniel and Jaymz brought Jenessa Soto to fill in for Roland on Bass and Abe Barrera to take over drum duties while Luis was away for college and Metalstorm simultaneously began reheasals for live shows while finishing up in the studio for the 2012 release, "A World to Break".
