An unforgettable evening at surrounded by remarkable bottles and even better company. Among a lineup of truly special wines, the wine of the night was the stunning 2017 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée Aux Reignots, a wine of breathtaking purity, elegance, and precision that captivated the entire table from the first pour to the last sip. And let’s not forget the eggs on eggs on eggs 😉😅

Tucked into the charm of , this unforgettable evening with chef was equal parts elegance and pure fun. The highlight: a blind tasting of iconic 1989 Bordeaux—each poured without pretense, inviting curiosity, debate, and a bit of friendly competition around the table. The lineup was nothing short of legendary: 1989 Château Cheval Blanc, 1989 Château Lafite Rothschild, 1989 Château Latour, 1989 Château Mouton Rothschild, 1989 Château Margaux and 1989 Château Bel-Air. Even the most seasoned palates were surprised, second-guessing, and occasionally humbled as each glass revealed its character in its own time. Paired with my favorite, homemade duck confit, the wines showed beautifully—silky, expressive, and still remarkably alive. It was one of those rare nights where the bottles were extraordinary, but the energy around the table made it unforgettable.

Our visit to Château Lafleur felt less like stepping into a grand estate and more like being let in on one of Bordeaux’s best-kept secrets. With guiding us, the experience was intimate, thoughtful, and full of quiet magic. Among the vines and in the cellar, there’s an undeniable sense that everything here is done with intention, but never with ego. Ralitsa brought the story of Lafleur to life with such warmth and precision, striking that rare balance between deep knowledge and genuine passion. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need to impress loudly, it simply stays with you, long after you’ve left. An absolute highlight was tasting the 2009 vintage: silky, layered, and remarkably expressive, capturing the generosity of the vintage and the estate’s unmistakable finesse.

There are places that feel like the heart of wine, and then there is our very own Mecca in Saint-Émilion, where possibility seems to stretch as far as the cellars run deep. It’s a place defined not just by its bottles, but by the spirit behind them where generosity, curiosity, and a true love of wine converge in the most effortless way. Thanks to our “Bordeaux Ambassador”, what might seem impossible elsewhere somehow becomes reality here. Rare bottles are not just admired—they’re opened, shared, and brought to life in the most meaningful way. Among so many unforgettable moments, two wines stood quietly above the rest: the ethereal 1962 Château Laville Haut-Brion, still vibrant and layered with history, and the extraordinary 1913 Château Ausone, a wine that transcended time entirely. Experiences like this don’t just remind you why you love wine—they redefine it! 🥂

An unforgettable afternoon at Château Angélus, where heritage and precision seamlessly converge. Guided by the warmth and insight of Victoire Touton and Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, the visit unfolded with a rare balance of elegance and authenticity. From an intimate look at the estate’s meticulous approach to winemaking, to a beautifully curated lunch that celebrated both terroir and seasonality, every moment reflected the unmistakable Angélus signature—refined, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in family legacy. It’s this rare kind of experience that reminds you great wine is ultimately about people, connection, and sharing something meaningful around the table. More Blanc du Milieu please! Thank you 🙏
