It’s that time of year again... ⏰ Daylight Savings Time!! ⏰

As we all know it’s right around the corner and sometimes this can be a dreaded time where, if you don’t prepare, you might get stuck with a baby that wakes At 6 am! Here are some ways to transition through this time smoothly:

⏱ Prepare to start transitioning at least a week before (this upcoming Saturday) by extending your “schedule” 10-15 minutes later. So if your baby wakes at 7 am, get your baby at around 7:10-7:15 am. With this, push back your naps and bedtime 10-15 minutes as well.

⏱ Each day, push back times 10-15 minutes. So eventually you will end up having your wake and bed times an hour later than they normally are. This way, by 11/1, you will “fall back” and will be at the regular time that wake and bedtime was at.

⏱ I’d make sure that you have a dark room environment as by 10/31, when your baby is almost waking an hour later, it will be light in the morning (let’s say 8 am).

⏱ Don’t stress!! If it doesn’t work perfectly, it’s okay! If 11/1 comes and things are a little off you can always transition after.

If you’d like help with this, my one week package will fit just right! Send me a DM or email.

Introducing my Free Newborn Guide!🤱

The newborn stage is such a sweet period of time in a family's life. You know your new baby will be sweet, cuddly, and snuggly, but what’s next after that? How should you know when your baby need to sleep vs. eat? How can you calm baby when they’ve already been fed?

As a NICU nurse, when I had my first baby, I thought, “Oh, I’ll just feed every three hours, swaddle, and my baby will sleep in between feeds just like in the hospital. Easy, right?”

Well that was clearly not how my baby wanted to do things.

I’ve created a guide to not only help out new parents, but also to make the early baby stage for your family more restful and relaxing so you can enjoy time with your newborn. This guide will walk you through a healthy newborn sleep environment, optimal sleep cycles, wake windows, how to calm a crying baby, daily routines, swaddling tips, and much more!
