We’re thrilled to introduce our brand-new Hatch-at-Home & Hatch-at-School Educational Experience! 🌱

This isn’t just about hatching chicks—it’s about experiencing agriculture firsthand.

Families, homeschool groups, classrooms, churches, libraries, and community organizations can now enjoy a hands-on journey from fertile egg to fluffy chick while learning about:

We’ll provide the equipment, fertile hatching eggs, supplies, and support—you provide the excitement and curiosity!

After much prayer, reflection, and seeking God’s direction, we’re excited to share a new chapter for Rooted Acres Ohio.

When Rooted Acres Ohio was founded, our vision included livestock rescue, petting zoo experiences, and agricultural education. As we’ve continued to grow, we’ve realized that God is calling us to focus our efforts where we can make the greatest long-term impact: agricultural education.

This means we’ll be stepping away from livestock rescue and petting zoo services and instead dedicating our time and resources to teaching children, families, schools, and communities about agriculture, food production, stewardship, and the incredible farmers who help feed our world.

We believe agriculture is one of the greatest classrooms God has given us. Through planting seeds, caring for animals, working the land, and serving others, we see His faithfulness every single day.

Our mission remains firmly rooted in Christ:
🌱 To glorify God by cultivating a deeper understanding of agriculture through education, hands-on learning, and community outreach while inspiring faithful stewardship of His creation.

We’re excited about the opportunities ahead—developing educational programs, partnering with schools and organizations, supporting youth in agriculture, and helping reconnect people with where their food comes from.

One thing this weekend really confirmed for us is how passionate we are about helping families grow their homesteads, learn new skills, and feel more confident living a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Because of that, we are wanting to start focusing more on offering classes, workshops, and hands-on learning opportunities through Rooted Acres Ohio!
