I am very upset about the arrest and detention of Salah Sarsour, the President of the ISM. This is not about immigration- its about fear. I stand with the ISM and Congresswoman Gwen Moore in condemning this action against a respected community leader.

U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Milwaukee, called for the immediate release of Sarsour on Thursday.

“This is completely unacceptable,” Moore said in a statement. “Salah Sarsour is a respected leader in the Milwaukee community, and his detention raises serious concerns about the continued targeting of lawful residents based on the color of their skin or their political beliefs.”

Grocery stores and pharmacies are critical infrastructure for livable neighborhoods. I am proud to stand with Metcalfe Park Community Bridges and all our partners in the Food Justice Collective as we work for solutions to get fresh food and access to medicine were people live.

What was behind Pick ’n Save closures? Data indicates it wasn't theft. Pick 'n Save cited theft for store closures, but a Journal Sentinel analysis of police data shows theft-related incidents were declining.

Delighted to see Mary Thorson yesterday at Boswell's Books reading from her new book "A Woman's Guide to True Crime." Ernie Granzen is a very proud papa!

Congratulations, Mary!

Yes!

Gail’s Law requires insurance companies to cover secondary breast cancer screenings for women with dense breast tissue. This is a huge win for women in Wisconsin.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. It has been a long, hard fight. But so worth it. 💙
