The No Name Stringband is a collective of Madison-area musicians lead by claw-hammer banjo player Brian Zimmerman and guitarist Matt Manske. They combine a broad understanding of traditional Appalachian old-time music with a slew of original acoustic compositions. The music ranges from fiddle-led, foot-stomping barn dances to slower, introspective classical-bluegrass numbers.

Hey friends! We had a blast in 2025…festivals, weddings, boats, special parties… Only one more on the books - Tuesday Dec 16 at Harmony Bar. We got the invite from friends in Soggy Prairie. Things start up around 6 and we play first after 7. Join if able! Much love. -NNSB
