I am asking for everyone's help with The Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries. In my 42 years of practice Medicare has only reimbursed seniors for only one procedure provided by a chiropractor, the spinal adjustment AKA chiropractic manipulative therapy (CMT). Like all healthcare professionals we perform examinations and, if needed, a radiological exam to efficiently diagnose the patient' condition and devise a plan of care. Since chiropractic's inclusion into the Medicare program in 1972 they have never once reimbursed the insured for these services when performed by a chiropractor. Nor will they reimburse for any needed therapies. These costs have always been the responsibility of the Medicare patient, of which, presents a financial burden. This is the closest we have come since our inclusion to have this bill brought to the floor of both chambers for discussion and vote. All you have to do is fill in your name, address and phone number. It will auto fill the correct rep and senator for your district.
