Furever After Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit foster based animal rescue. We do not have a facility and operate through fosters and adoptions events. If at anytime you would like to meet one of our babies, then we can arrange a meet and greet. If you are interested in fostering to save a furbaby's life please contact us via Facebook or email!

To the women who rearrange their schedules around vet appointments, who let a 70-pound dog sleep on their pillow, who have more photos of their dog on their phone than anything else -- today is YOURS.
Dog moms don't get a Hallmark card. They get muddy paw prints on clean laundry and a dog who follows them into the bathroom. And somehow, that's better.
Today we're celebrating something that makes our hearts so full -- our FAR alumni, living their absolute best lives with the women who chose them. Swipe through and try not to smile. We dare you.
These dogs came to us not knowing what a forever home felt like. Now look at them.
That's the magic of a dog mom.

Forgive me, rescue community, for I have sinned.
"I told myself just one more dog."
That was dog number seven.
We've all been there. One becomes two, two becomes "well they need a friend," and suddenly you're explaining to your family why there's a dog in the bathroom, a dog in the laundry room, and a dog who has claimed your spot on the couch.
But today we're not here to confess. We're here to BOW DOWN.
Because while most of us were negotiating with ourselves over dog #2, these fosters were just... getting started.

Current fosters: Scooby, Herschel, Jake, Olive, Max, Roscoe, and Rusty
Plus their own personal dogs AND chickens.
CHICKENS, people.
🏆 Brooke
Current fosters: Paul, Maxwell, Marge, Betty, and Koda
Plus personal dogs, cats, and farm animals.
A whole farm. Still said yes.
🏆 Abby
Current fosters: Weebles, Psych, Havoc, Oscar, Latte, Kain, Hawkeye, and Azrael Blue
Plus personal dogs and cats.
Eight foster dogs. EIGHT.
These people didn't just open their homes. They blew the doors off.
Every single dog in their care gets a warm bed, individual attention, and someone who shows up for them every single day -- no matter how full the house already is.
Furever After Rescue runs on fosters like Robyn & Ted, Brooke, and Abby. They are the reason dogs get a second chance.

Protecting your dog from heartworms is simple, but the disease itself is serious. Transmitted by a single mosquito bite, heartworms can cause permanent damage to your pup's heart and lungs.
Why prevention is key:
Simple vs. Stressful: A monthly preventative is easy; treating an active infection is painful, expensive, and requires months of strict crate rest.
Invisible Risk: You often won’t see symptoms until the disease is advanced.
Year-Round Need: Mosquitoes can be active even in cooler months, so consistent protection is vital.
Keep your dog safe and healthy—check with your vet to make sure your pup is up to date on their heartworm prevention! 🐾
