Sprite was born at Bunanza (mama came in pregnant) so he's been kissed and cuddled since the day he was born. You will not meet a more socialized bun!

He's almost 9 months old, neutered, litter trained, vaccinated, and cool with cats. He has milk chocolate brown eyes that perfectly complete his shades-of-chocolate coat.

Fun fact: Sprite was the runt! Much small than his brothers and sisters, he was continually shoved away from the breakfast bar. A dedicated Volunteer made sure he got consistent time alone with mom so he could get the nutrition he needed to catch up.

Runt no more, Sprite's just right at around 4 lbs. He loves head rubs and attention of all kinds, gets dozy while being rocked, and will even contentedly sit on laps.

📣 CALLING ALL BUNNY LOVERS! – Opportunity awaits you

We are currently looking for several new Volunteers to help out with the rescue rabbits on a weekly basis!

Bunanza has 2 shifts per day, a Primary and a Secondary. Shifts are generally just two hours or less.

PRIMARY – Performs essential daily responsibilities: changing litter boxes, refilling hay, spot cleaning or deep cleaning kennels as needed, rinsing and refilling water bowls, feeding the rabbits, taking them out for exercise as weather and ability permit, and spending time socializing with and enjoying the bunnies. It takes around two hours, but it's faster and more fun with two or even three!

SECONDARY – Checks to make sure all the bunnies are happy and healthy, tops off water dishes and hay as needed, socializes with bunnies, takes them out for exercise (weather permitting and if able), sometimes passes out treats, toys or veggies, plus occasional special projects. Time ranges from half an hour to two hours; this one is good for families.

We accept volunteers of all experience levels and nearly all ages! Just bring your love of bunnies and we'll train you up.

🥕 RABBIT RECAP THIS WEEK – Nice weather at last!

The buns have been able to get out for a couple of hours of supervised frolicking lately and they're LOVING it. It makes us happy, too!

🥕 RABBIT RECAP THIS WEEK – Baby it's (still), cold outside!

We've had a couple of hours here and there nice enough to get at least the larger buns – who can handle lower temperatures than the smaller ones – a little time outside, but mostly the weather continues to alternate between rain and snow and wind, all of it COLD!
