Testing new dahlia tubers for TSV this morning using Agdia strips. 🌱

After losing nearly 50 percent full-grown dahlia plants to virus in 2024, we promised ourselves we don't need to go through that again.

Yes, it feels harsh tossing tubers that look perfectly healthy. Looks can be deceiving. I can't tell which one has a virus except the test strips. I'd rather lose a tuber now than take out full plants later. Might they still have a virus besides TSV? Yes, and we will pull those out for sure as well.

What feels good about testing? Taking cuttings of what is more certain to grow healthy plants. 💚

We’re selling our remaining tubers this Saturday from 9:00 AM – Noon
8908 Northwood Road, Lynden.

🌱 All varieties have been pre-tested for TSV and should grow beautifully for you!
💲 Tubers are $5–$7 each.
✨ Hybrids and open-centered dahlia seeds will also be available!
