We did it! We have secured our spot in the field of 64 teams. Playing out of the South Region in this years TBT (https://www.thetournament.com/teams/matadors-texas-tech-alumni)!

Now planning and preparation to attend the tournament is the next step. For the first weekend of competition, we as a team have to pay our own way. If we advance TBT will pick up the remainder of travel expenses. Per TBT, "EACH TEAM IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS IN ORDER TO APPEAR AND BE ABLE TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT ON THE INITIAL DATES."

Asking for financial support is not something The Matadors take lightly. Therefore, when we win TBT we will do one of these two things with the money donated. First, we will match dollar for dollar the money donated and give to a charity that those who donated will vote for through a poll on the teams' Twitter account. The second option is to have your donation returned to you threefold (ex. donation $100, receive $300 when we win).

We will also have donation tiers and will give small trinkets away to those who donate:

$100 or more - Signed Matador T-Shirt by Team Members

$250 or more - Signed Official Basketball (The Rock) by Team Members

$500 or more - Signed T-Shirt & Basketball and tickets to The Matadors TBT games at every venue!
