The Ribbon Network was dreamed up in May 2025, by two moms who had experienced recent journeys through the world of pediatric cancer. Their kids went to school together and were members of the same Cub Scout Pack. When their kids were both diagnosed with cancer within a year of each other, they formed a strong bond and support system between them. When Sarah thought up an idea to create informational binders for newly diagnosed families, Lauren was so excited to contribute. Soon, they grew that idea into a support group for families enduring pediatric cancer, where they could offer friendship and community for others. As Sarah says, "We are all part of this club that no one wants to be in."
