Day 9: Gratitude journal.
Giving thanks for grace. Grace is described as unmerited favor, a gift undeserved and unearned.
Beyond just "favor," grace is often described in the New Testament as a divine enabling.
It is the strength to get through a trial: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
It is the fuel for transformation: It doesn't just leave you where you are; it empowers you to live a life that reflects God's character.
Day 5 of the 10 Day Gratitude Journal (January 5, 2026) Special thanks for my sister, who was born on this date and is still here to celebrate the occasion.
Today, I was reading the 103rd Psalm. Verse 2 states, "Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits-who forgives all your sins..." I recognize that I am a sinful creature, always in need of forgiveness for those things done contrary to the will of God. The forgiveness of God is superior to the forgiveness we receive from men, who not only remember but often remind us of our past transgressions. But God forgives in a way that sin is remembered no more, and we are reconciled in our relationship with Him. I am thankful for the forgiveness of sin and being relieved of the shame and guilt that accompany it.
