Ingredients
For the Steak and Shrimp
1 pound sirloin steak, cut into large bite-size cubes
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
For the Lo Mein
16 ounces lo mein noodles, spaghetti, or linguine
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 orange bell pepper, thinly sliced
3 cups baby spinach or chopped bok choy
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds, optional
For the Glossy Sauce
½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
¼ cup oyster sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
½ cup beef broth or water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
How to Make It
1. Prepare the Noodles
Cook the noodles according to the package directions until just tender. Drain and rinse briefly with cool water to stop the cooking.
Toss with a small drizzle of oil so the noodles do not stick together.
2. Mix the Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, broth, cornstarch, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Set aside while you cook the meat and vegetables.
3. Season the Steak and Shrimp
Pat the steak and shrimp dry with paper towels.
Season both with soy sauce, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Keep them in separate bowls because they cook at different speeds.
4. Sear the Steak
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the steak cubes in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until deeply browned while remaining juicy inside.
Transfer the steak to a plate and keep warm.
5. Cook the Shrimp
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter to the same skillet.
Arrange the shrimp in one layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink, opaque, and lightly golden.
Transfer the shrimp to the plate with the steak. Avoid overcooking them.
6. Sauté the Vegetables
Lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter, sliced peppers, garlic, and ginger.
Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the peppers soften slightly but remain colorful and crisp.
Add the spinach or bok choy and cook just until wilted.
7. Add the Noodles and Sauce
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet.
Whisk the prepared sauce once more, then pour it evenly over the noodles and vegetables.
Toss continuously for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats every noodle with a glossy finish.
8. Return the Steak and Shrimp
Add the cooked steak and shrimp back to the skillet.
Toss gently for 1–2 minutes, just until everything is hot and coated in the savory garlic sauce. Do not cook too long, or the steak and shrimp may become tough.
9. Serve
Transfer the lo mein to a large serving platter or aluminum tray.
Arrange some of the steak cubes and shrimp across the top so they remain clearly visible. Finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Helpful Tips
Cook the steak and shrimp in batches when necessary so they sear instead of steaming. Keep the noodles slightly firm because they will continue cooking in the sauce. For an extra-rich finish, stir one additional tablespoon of butter into the noodles just before serving.

Ingredients
For the Shrimp
1½ pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
For the Creamy Spaghetti
12 ounces spaghetti
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
2 cups heavy cream
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1¼ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup reserved pasta water, only if needed
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
How to Make It
1. Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti until al dente according to the package directions.
Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. Do not rinse it.
2. Season the Shrimp
Pat the shrimp completely dry. Toss with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
3. Sear the Shrimp
Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Arrange the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden, lightly charred, and opaque.
Reduce the heat, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic, then toss the shrimp for about 30 seconds. Sprinkle with parsley and transfer the shrimp to a plate.
4. Make the Thick Cream Sauce
In the same skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds without browning it.
Pour in the heavy cream and add the softened cream cheese. Whisk until completely smooth.
Simmer gently for 4–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce begins to thicken and reduce.
Add the Parmesan gradually, stirring continuously until melted. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
The sauce should be very thick, rich, glossy, and concentrated. Add only a small splash of reserved pasta water if it becomes too thick to coat the spaghetti.
5. Coat the Spaghetti
Reserve about ¾ cup of the thick sauce for the final presentation.
Add the drained spaghetti to the remaining sauce and toss gently until every strand is generously coated. Stir in the chopped parsley.
6. Assemble the Plate
Arrange the creamy spaghetti on the left side of a large serving platter.
Place the golden garlic-butter shrimp on the right side, keeping both components clearly separated.
Warm the reserved sauce briefly if necessary, then pour it slowly into the center of the platter. Let the thick sauce softly touch the spaghetti and shrimp without completely covering them.
7. Finish and Serve
Sprinkle the dish with extra parsley, Parmesan, and a little black pepper. Serve immediately while the sauce is hot, silky, and creamy.
Helpful Tips
Use freshly grated Parmesan because pre-shredded cheese may make the sauce grainy. Keep the heat low after adding the cheese, and do not boil the sauce. Cook the shrimp in batches when necessary so they sear instead of steaming.
Garlic Butter Lobster Tail Bites

Servings
4
Ingredients
6 small lobster tails, thawed if frozen
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
5 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
Lemon wedges, for serving
How to Make It
Prepare the lobster:
Using kitchen scissors, cut through the top of each lobster shell. Gently loosen the meat and lift it slightly above the shell. Cut each tail into 2–3 large pieces while keeping the meat attached to the shell sections.
Season:
Pat the lobster pieces dry. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Sear the lobster:
Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lobster pieces meat-side down and cook for about 2 minutes.
Turn and cook:
Flip the pieces and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until the shells turn bright red and the lobster meat begins to look opaque.
Make the garlic butter sauce:
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds, stirring gently so the garlic does not burn.
Finish the dish:
Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and crushed red pepper flakes. Spoon the bubbling garlic butter repeatedly over the lobster for 1–2 minutes, until the meat is tender, opaque, and cooked through.
Serve:
Remove from the heat and sprinkle generously with fresh parsley. Transfer the lobster bites to a serving plate and pour all the warm garlic butter sauce over the top. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Helpful Tips
Do not overcook the lobster, or it may become chewy. Remove it from the heat as soon as the meat is opaque and tender. Serve with crusty bread, mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables to soak up every drop of the garlic butter sauce.
