In 2013, he earned his practice doctorate from New York University, focusing on the transition of care in high-risk patient populations. from the University of San Diego, where his research concentrated on the impostor phenomenon in nurse anesthesiologists. His interests encompass healthcare policy, executive leadership, and training the next generation of nurse anesthesiologists to excel in perioperative care. Dr. Darna holds clinical privileges at the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System. He is a past president of the California Association of Nurse Anesthesiology and has proudly contributed to several AANA committees and task forces.
