Hello Gearheads. Some more Sunday engine talk. When it comes to a Performance valve job, what seat angles or shapes are best for your application? Pictured below are two common valve jobs used. The 3 angle valve job and radius valve job. I always begin by asking the customer what is your application? Naturally Aspirated, Forced Induction, max valve lift, Street engine or Race engine? Countless hours of Flowbench Testing various valve seat shapes for various cylinder heads, has helped me to know what works for your applications.
