His early rise as an international DJ led to his solo production debut with the release of his first full-length, Narrow Path that contained the lead single “Contemplation”. Remixed by Philly-based house producer King Britt (currently licensed to Defected Records), the widely acclaimed single was catapulted into one of the most recognized house anthems of all time. He then released an EP Grey Skies featuring Aloe Blacc & Myka9, followed up by two LPs – Tolerance featuring Lateef The Truth Speaker, Blu & Uncle Imani and Time Stamp featuring: Divine Styler, TaRaach & Tabi Bonney. Maintaining an analog aesthetic he coins as “futuristic-vintage”, Josh One’s innovative sound bridges modern electronic programming with live instrumentation by world-class musicians. Josh One is the founder of Boomnote Music, an artist-driven record label and creative agency in Long Beach, California.
