I don’t know how to explain this, but in this exact moment as I sit down to write a caption for this sweet memory, I feel like time has stopped and is moving so fast all at once. I’m currently in a moment of calm which is rare in my life as a mother (realizing that I need to go pack my tri-athlete son’s afternoon gear in the car now before pickup) and entrepreneur. Life always seems so busy — and rapidly fleeting, especially in the fast paced state of California — and milestones come and go in a way that almost makes them seem surreal. Did that happen? We planned for so long and now, it’s over? Was it as amazing as we dreamed? I hope so.

I honestly don’t know where I’m going with this, but I’m just letting my fingers type whatever is flowing from my heart and mind at the moment. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes for me, trying to navigate my health and some general speed bumps in life, but one thing that I have noticed is that maybe I have some repressed feelings or energy stuck inside of me. And I don’t know how or why those things got there (although I can recognize a very big shift in who I was and who I am now after losing my brother in 2015), but I’m slowly leaning into ways that I can just release some of it and maybe, just letting my words be my words, is just one of those ways. Exercise is also extremely helpful, of course.

Anyway, in other news, I listened to this amazing podcast this morning that featured as a guest and there were so many incredible takeaways! I need to go back and listen to it again when I’m not moving about doing chores with a baby at my feet, so I can take notes. It was THAT GOOD. However, I know that one of the things that currently asks herself when making decisions is — will it be fun? I loved hearing this so much because we truly only have this one life to live, so why not have fun with? Why not try that thing we have always wanted to try? Start the business, have the family, whatever it is that lights you up.

And for me, I know that part of my fun in life is capturing those fun moments for you. Thankful to live another day of creating heartwarming keepsakes for you to treasure. 📸✨
