Attorney General Tim Griffin would like to invite you to the FREE 12th annual Missing Persons Event. This is a special gathering for families and the Arkansas law enforcement community to raise awareness of the issues surrounding missing persons and to recognize Arkansas’s missing. As part of this important event, there will be a morning session for families followed by a luncheon to recognize Arkansas’ missing persons. Additionally, the event will include all-day training for law enforcement and attorneys.

Learn the dynamics of trafficking and exploitation to improve skills related to victim identification and recovery, interviewing techniques for recovered victims, and effective techniques for a fully corroborated investigation to hold the perpetrator(s) accountable.

Seconds count when a child is missing. Gain the critical skills needed to construct and manage effective search and canvass operations to recover the child. Recognize crucial cell phone and technology-related evidence which can help locate the child and track the abductor. Explore relevant legal issues associated with criminal cases against those who abduct and harm children. Participate in hands-on exercises designed to test your knowledge and application of the material and prepare you for your next missing child case.

FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division

The FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division will discuss advantages and how to submit unknown deceased (DEU) and known deceased (DEK) electronic biometric transmission specification types of transactions (TOTs). They will also discuss the benefits of updating criminal history records of the deceased.
